Disney Vacation 2008

Our latest and greatest news is our trip last week to Disney. It was "magical" as always! You just can't help but smile when fireworks light up the sky or Minnie waves at you as the parade goes by! I think what puts the biggest smiles on our faces, however, is watching the kids faces light up with delight and awe. Nighttime is my favorite time for viewing the castle at the Magic Kingdom. I've included a picture of us at the MK the first day. We've been this same week every year for three years now. What's amazing is that we always see something new, and find something we've never been to before. New this year was the Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor in Tomorrow Land. Gabi was highlighted during the show as part of the act and put up on screen. She loved it! Also new was Spaceship Earth at Epcot which reopened after refurbishment while we were there. The learning computer area at the end of the ride was "awesome" to quote the kids. We went to the Hall of Presidents at Epcot and the show there was fantastic. You know if you can hold a 4 year old's attention while talking about the history of the US you're doing great! We also found some unexplored areas at the Animal Kingdom.

This year we stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge which was detailed and amazing. The kids thought is was like living in a zoo. Every morning they would rush to the balcony in our room to see what kind of animals they could spot. Their favorites were the zebras.

We also enjoyed the company of "Nana & Papa" this year, aka Render and Sibby (Render's parents.) They endured 3 whole days at our "hyper-speed" pace! They were real troopers and the kids truly enjoyed having them there.

We've arrived!

OK, my husband has asked that we join the tech savy world of blogging for our family happenings and updates, so here it is.
